Book your free 10-Point Roof Inspection

Severe storms, hail, harsh UV rays, freezing temperatures, tornadoes, hurricanes, and tropical storms, can wreak havoc on your roof. Unfortunately, you may not realize the extent of the damage until major problems occur—and that can lead to costly roof repairs or even full roof replacement.

Your free, comprehensive 10-Point roof inspection includes:

  • We take a look at the overall condition of your roofing system using a combination of aerial drone photography and physical rooftop inspection. Areas inspected include:

    • Field shingle condition (brittleness, granule loss, algae growth, cracks rips and tears)

    • Flashing (inspection for potential flashing failures and recommendations for additional flashing when necessary)

    • Penetrations (all vent pipes, flue pipes, exhaust vents, attic vents, satellite dishes etc..)

    • Layers of shingles and layers of underlayment

    • Decking type and thickness

  • The chimney is the biggest culprit regarding roof leaks, the flashing is often done very poorly around the chimney, this area will be inspected along with your chimney cap.

  • An evaluation of your facia boards and gutters will be completed and recommendations provided

  • Thorough inspection of the whole attic will be completed. Items that will be inspected include:

    • Roof framing system and sheathing

    • identifying any leaks/potential leaks,

    • Assessing roof decking penetrations and flue pipe Assembly/positioning

    • Ventilation

    • Insulation condition

  • Correct ventilation is an integral part of your roofing system and is often over looked.

Without proper ventilation, the Life span of your roof will be severely diminished. Inadequate ventilation presents a host of other issues including organic growth in your attic because of high humidity, condensation on your HVAC components and loss of efficiency (higher energy bills!!)

  • As with attic ventilation, insulation is an important part of keeping your home healthy!

The insulation creates a barrier between the attic space and the rest of your home ensuring that the hot moist air does not mix with your dehumidified cooler air and vice versa in the winter with warm interior air and cold attic air

  • As the name suggests, a ridge capping covers the ridge, or the high point where two roof surfaces meet. if ridge vents are installed there needs to be an adequate gap between the two boards meeting at the apex for sufficient ventilation. Often times the decking needs to be cut back for proper ventilation through the ridge vents.

    • Penetrations (all vent pipes, flue pipes, exhaust vents, attic vents, satellite dishes etc..) Inspected for any degradation

    • Flashing inspection for potential flashing failures and recommendations for additional flashing when necessary

    • Roof framing system and sheathing/decking inspected
